Online Prescription Ordering

You can now view, request, and check the progress of your repeat prescription requests online.  There is also a free 'app' allowing you to manage your prescriptions on your mobile phone. You must contact the surgery first as you will require a code to be able to register. 

Missed Appointments

We try hard to meet  demand but an increasing amount of appointments with the doctors and nurses are being wasted due to patients who fail to attend or who cancel at short notice leaving us unable to offer the appointment to any one else. If you find that you are unable to attend your appointment or no longer need it, please let us know in plenty of time so that it can be given to another patient.

 

Pittenweem or  Elie Surgery?

All of our Doctors and Nurses consult at both Surgeries and you may be offered an appointment at either site.  This can cut the length of time you have to wait but you have the choice  to be seen at. whichever Surgery you prefer.  Please ensure that you have confirmed with the receptionist which Surgery your appointment is at to prevent a wasted journey.

Order Your Repeat Prescription Online

Repeat Prescriptions

We regret that we are unable to accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone except for housebound patients.Nice_vlue_pills

If you need a repeat prescription on a regular basis, your doctor will organise this on the computer. You may then obtain your prescriptions by

  • Handing your computerised slip into your usual pharmacy.
  • Placing your computerised slip in the collection box at Pittenweem Surgery or handing it to the receptionist at Elie Surgery.
  • Posting in your slip to us (please enclose a stamped addressed envelope). Please allow 7 days for this (excluding weekends and public holidays).
  • By email (new email addresses from September 2020)  to pittenweem.surgery2@nhs.scot  or elie.surgery2@nhs.scot (stating name, date of birth, and the items required).
  • Online via the link at the top of this page. New users are required to complete a simple registration. If you have used this system in the past, please note that it has now been updated.    Registration is simple, once you are registered you are given a PIN to ensure your details are kept secure.  If you would like to register for this service please call into the Surgery to pick-up a registration form.  Alternatively you can let us know when you next order a prescription.  We will send the letter with the details you require to the pharmacy, along with your prescription, and you can collect it from there.
  • Housebound patients can telephone the surgery between 09:00 and 12:00.

Prescriptions will be sent to the local pharmacy of your choice and will be available 48 hours after ordering.  Prescriptions can only be arranged at short notice in exceptional circumstances.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

48_hoursPlease allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
